Good afternoon the garage I am looking at doing has some kind of sealer on it. Whats the best way to get sealer off cement?? Strip it??It is older cement guessing 15 + years old , 570 sq ft so need enough for 3 car garage unless they want to go beige correct. What else would I need besides epoxy, top coat tool kit,and flack. How do you determine how much fleck you need??
If your garage has been previously sealed, painted, or coated, the use of a diamond grinder or shot blaster is recommended to remove those coatings and rough up the surface.
After prep, use the 3-car garage kit. Top coat is optional but does give added protection. As for the fleck, see picture.
What is the best caulk to fill joints and small holes in concrete
What’s the best caulk to fill joints and small cracks and holes in concrete?
Best is to use our patch, not caulk when filling any cracks or holes:

Is this epoxy safe to use on a basement floor that is heated concrete?
Yes.
Tried to make order this mo and order failed to go thru. Will try again tomorrow
Okay, let us know if you still have issues.
My shop is 780 sq ft how much do I need the 3 garage kit or do I need to add more to completely cover my floor
You will need the 3-Car Garage Kit which contains 2 of the 3-gallon epoxy kits.
Hello. I have 1,100 sq ft to cover. What do you recommend. I was thinking white although it requires 2 coats. What color is closest to white that is 1 coat. Thanks for your time
White and beige require two coats. If you want one coat application, then any of the other colors will be okay.
Do I have to apply a clear coat? Will the flecks peel off if a clear coat is not applied? This will be used on a basement floor not a garage floor.
No, it is not needed to apply a clear coat and the flecks will not peel off. The clear coat does add extra protection if desired and also can be used as a maintenance coat as needed.
Do you have a clear coat that you recommend to go over the fleck coating?
Yes: https://www.restore-a-garage.com/restore-a-garage-epoxy/restore-a-garage-clear-top-coat/flypage.tpl.html
Can I put this epoxy over an old epoxy floor? The old floor is stuck to the concrete very well. No chips or bubbles.
how long do you need to wait for recoating if using beige?
As soon as the first coat is fully dry but no longer than 18 hours.
Where can the non-slip aluminum oxide additive be found for purchasing?
We do not sell it but you can use Shark Grip if you like. Most people do not bother using the grip.
I had my concrete sandblasted, what else is needed to prep for epoxy?
That is sufficient for prep.
I have a new build shop. How many gallons do you suggest for 2000 Sq ft?
6 of the 3-gallons kits.
What are the prep steps on newly poured concrete slab.
Let cure for 30 days and then etch for prep: https://www.restore-a-garage.com/restore-a-garage-prep/restore-a-garage-etch-clean.html
can you first make a pattern out say red then let it cure then use the clear top coat to fill in the rest of the floor then all that would show is the concrete and the patten under the clear could do that
Yes. Or use two different colors. Red in one areas and then say gray in next area. You would have to carefully edge out each area?
hi can you mix 2 colors and let them just bleed together to get a kool look not like some do to acquire a uniform look
No, that is not possible.
Is this product available in Australia?
It is not.
Is the clear top coat optional?
Yes.
I intend to use your product for a customer’s basement floor. The area is 850 sqft. Will I be able to spread the 2×3 gal kit over this area or should I get an additional 1.5 gal kit? Also, what type of prep is required? Do I need to etch the surface first?
You should get the extra 1.5-gallon to be safe. You need to etch for prep:
https://www.restore-a-garage.com/Epoxy-Coating-Reviews-and-Tips/how-to-prep-for-restore-a-garage-epoxy-coating.html
Beige requires two coats. When do you apply second coat? Can you do it right after first coat or do you have to wait until first coat dries?
As soon as the first coat is dry.
Your 2 to 3 Gallon Kit says it covers 600 – 800 sq ft. That is a considerable disparity in coverage. I have a new construction shop floor. It is clean, no previous products applied. Would I lean more towards the lower end of the coverage recommendation?
The variance in coverage is based on how thick you apply it, not the porosity of the floor.
